Rene Schulte did a post of his 2015, and I thought that was a cool idea. So here is mine, with pictures, if only so that I can remember what the hell I spent this year doing.

Turkey

Gordon Beeming, Taylor Gibb, and I went to the Middle East and Africa Microsoft MVP Open Day in Turkey.

The Microsoft offices are really niceMicrosoft Turkey
And there are some really pretty buildingsTurkey

Italy

I spent a mind-blowing week with the Plex family in Italy.

There were lots of pretty buildingsWP_20150915_041

And some once-in-a-lifetime experiencesWP_20150918_046

US

In November, Microsoft MVPs from around the world gathered at Microsoft HQ in Redmond.

There were big Halo statuesWP_20151103_13_35_31_Pro
I got to play with the HoloLens! Luckily the fire evacuation of the building happened before my slotWP_20151104_10_56_24_Pro 1
And saw the original models used to make the Halo 3: Believe trailerWP_20151104_14_27_01_Pro
Oh, and got reminded how easy modern tech has made our jobs

I also managed to find a lot of the 20 KG’s I spent 2015 losing. Thanks America.

Paintball

After getting equipment, I started playing paintball semi-regularly at a local bush course.
I also attached a camera to my marker

Unity3D

I’ve been using Unity3D off and on for a couple of years, but got to make fun prototypes this year with some friends to learn Unity better

MVP

My 2016 started off on a high notemvp

Mauritius

My awesome wife got me a Canon 750D for Christmas, which is pretty good timing since we spent Christmas in Mauritius, which is insanely beautiful.

So, I’m attempting to learn how to take pretty photos
